But, the one that I ...I've heard these stories. But, the one that I remember was that the GM thought that by wearing white jerseys at home, then the fans would be able to see the other team's colors, but added that in away games, the cowboys would probably wear white which would give them an edge seeing the same colors (or colours, you must be British) for the quarterback to find his receivers, and give his team some consistency. It took years before another team caught on, and wore white making the Cowboys wear their blue uniforms, as they thought this would hinder the Cowboys and throw them off their game. It didn't work. But,to this day, the Cowboys like to wear white at home and away.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04311322683077338358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6543894493367314120.post-12634130276277087222017-05-24T23:44:37.683-04:002017-05-24T23:44:37.683-04:00Quite a few people have been asking me (on Youtube...Quite a few people have been asking me (on Youtube and LInkedin and other social media) my two cents worth on why the Cowboys wear white at home. I just posted my two cents worth at the bottom of the above blog.
Thanks!
ScottScott Sillcoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05380056233369712814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6543894493367314120.post-46628349194097662342017-03-28T01:41:57.033-04:002017-03-28T01:41:57.033-04:00This is not true either. The correct reason is that Tex Schramm, the Cowboys original GM, believed that the home games in colored uniforms would result in Cowboys always wearing Blue and the away team always wearing white. Whereas if Cowboys wear white fans would the get to see every other teams colored uniforms. Which meant it wouldn't be exactly the same every week.
