A. The Chicago Cubs franchise was established in 1876. The team has been known by a number of names as follows: Chicago White Stockings 1876-1893 Chicago Colts 1894-1897 Chicago Orphans 1898-1901 Chicago Cubs 1902-Present Note: The history of the Cub's team nickname prior to 1902 is a somewhat inexact science, largely because nicknames were somewhat unofficial in baseball’s early years. 

B. The Cubs have played in a number of stadiums: 

1. 23rd Street Grounds, Chicago 1876-77  

2. Lakefront Park, Chicago 1878-84  

3. West Side Park, Chicago 1885-90  

4. South Side Park, Chicago 1891-93  

5. West Side Grounds, Chicago 1894-1915  

6. Wrigley Field, Chicago 1916-Present
