Minnesota Wild - Franchise, Team, Arena and Uniform History

1. Minnesota Wild – The Franchise History
This franchise was established (by established we mean the year of the franchise’s first game) in 2000-01. The team has always been known as Minnesota Wild. They joined the NHL in the same season as the Columbus Blue Jackets.

2. Minnesota Wild – Championships/Great Accomplishments
No Stanley Cup Championships

No Stanley Cup finals appearances

Semi-final appearances:

In 2002-03 (the franchise's 3rd season) they made it to the semi-finals before losing 4-0 to the MIghty Ducks of Anaheim (now Anaheim Ducks). 

The team's three best regular seasons (as of 2022-23) are:

1. 2021-22  113 points: 53 wins - 22 losses - 7 OT losses

2. 2016-17  106 points: 49 wins - 25 losses - 8 OT losses

3. 2006-07 104 points: 48 wins - 26 losses - 8 OT losses

3. Minnesota Wild – Home Arena History
The Minnesota Wild franchise has played in only one home arena and it has only ever been known by one name - Xcel Energy Center. The arena is nicknamed The X.
