Nashville Predators - Franchise, Team, Arena and Uniform History

Nashville Predators uniform evolution poster

Oct 2023: This is a prototype poster and is not yet available for sale. When the Nashville Predators posters are available for sale, they will be available from Heritage Sports Stuff as reasonably priced 8" x 24" plaqued posters that are ready to hang on your wall.

Oct 2023: Almost all of the 8 actual original watercolor paintings used in this poster will be available for sale – see Section 5 of this blog.

1. Nashville Predators – The Franchise History
This franchise was established (by established we mean the year of the franchise’s first game) in 1998-99. The team has always been known as the Nashville Predators. They joined the NHL as the league's 27th franchise.

2. Nashville Predators – Championships/Great Accomplishments
No Stanley Cup Championships

One Stanley Cup finals appearance:
2016-17 Lost to Pittsburgh Penguins 4 games to 2.

One semi-final appearance:
2016-17

The team's three best regular seasons (as of 2022-23) are:
1. 2017-18  117 points: 53 wins - 18 losses - 11 OT losses
2. 2006-07  110 points: 51 wins - 23 losses - 8 OT losses
3. 2005-06  106 points: 49 wins - 25 losses - 8 OT losses

3. Nashville Predators – Home Arena History
The Nashville Predators franchise has played in only one home arena although it has been known by several names prior to being named Bridgestone Arena in 2010. The arena is sometimes nicknamed Smashville and The Tire Barn.

Bridgestone Arena 2010 - Present

Also known as:
Nashville Arena 1996–99, 2007, 2009−10
Gaylord Entertainment Center 1999–2007
Sommet Center 2007–09
Bridgestone Arena 2010 - Present

A pen and ink aerial view image of Bridgestone Arena will be added Q1 2024.

5. Celebrate the Nashville Predators jersey history by owning a famous piece of jersey artwork:
If you love the Nashville Predators and the history of the Nashville Predators franchise, you might really love to own an original piece of artwork celebrating the team's historic jerseys as seen in the poster at the top of this blog - you can actually own one of those original pieces of art! There are only 8 pieces of original art available for sale, and when these 8 are sold, that's it, they're all sold out.

These original watercolor paintings would make a great gift (birthday gift, anniversary gift, retirement gift, Christmas gift, etc.) for someone you love or even a great gift for yourself (one of these framed pieces would look fantastic in your home or office). Each piece can be bought one of three ways:
1. As unframed art that you could have framed or mounted yourself (the one on the left)
2. Framed in our "Classic" framed version (the middle version)
3. Framed in our "Deluxe" framed version (the version on the right)

If you would like more information about this great artwork including the three ways you could purchase each piece, please visit our Nashville Predators YouTube video or go directly to the artwork website https://www.heritagesportsart.com/collections/nashville-predators where you can see and purchase the artwork.

And if someone you know loves the history of sports uniforms (but maybe another team) and loves great art, please let them know that we have over 1500 pieces of great original artwork for sale at www.heritagesportsart.com (all NFL teams, all MLB teams, all NHL teams, all CFL teams, select NCAA football teams) or check out each team's video at the Heritage Sports Art YouTube Channel www.youtube.com/user/ssillcox .
